An exciting new twist is coming to the youth program roll PLAY Productions this year! HOPE (Helping Our People Educate) theatre group and roll PLAY Productions join together to produce "The Family"
The plot.
An African family migrate to Australia because of the war that took place in their country. The father was a very important person in their homeland with a position of power in the government. However, when they immigrated to Australia all glory was lost. The first days in their new country were full of excitment and happiness. Tensions began to arise within the family, however. The daughter fell pregnant. The son started taking drugs and fighting. Can the family unit survive?
If you are aged between 14 - 25 and interested in filmmaking, then this project might be for you.

roll PLAY Productions is a program for young people aged 14 to 25 who are interested in filmmaking (with or without film experience) working together to produce short films
roll PLAY welcomes young people who are interested in any or all facets of filmmaking:
Writing
Acting
Directing
Editing
Sound and music
Filming (camerawork, boom operation, )
Publicity and Promotion

roll PLAY Productions was established in 2002 and to date has produced 5 films, including one feature length film. In 2008 the group will be meeting on Wednesday evenings at Monash Youth and Family Services in Clayton.
The group is also involved in the annual LIGHTS!CAMERA!SHORTS! Monash Youth Film Festival.
