Applications are now open for our popular ‘Young Women’s Leadership Program’. This is for young women looking to build leadership skills, meet like-minded peers, talk about women’s issues and learn how to leap over barriers to achieving goals.
Monash Youth Services recognises that women face unique barriers to education and career opportunities. This shift is often observed to begin during adolescence and secondary school. We are looking for young women in the community that want to strengthen their potential and collaborate with others to overcome these barriers. If you have any young women you work with that think may benefit from this opportunity, we encourage you to pass this flyer along.
Feedback from the pilot delivery in 2016;
“I feel very motivated and enthusiastic about being a woman in leadership and as though I want to change the world”
“This has given me the confidence to take opportunities regardless of my chance of not succeeding”
“I have been challenged and educated on some of the most important life skills, and I have learnt so much about others opinions and beliefs and how to respect them and be the best leader I can be”
Program runs for 10 weeks, on Wednesdays from 4:30pm-6:30pm, starting 19th July 2017.
Delivered by MYS and South East Community Links (SECL) at the Clayton Community Centre, 9 Cooke Street, Clayton.
